About Kate
Kate's care for others and facilitating personal growth began long before her venture into the field of psychotherapy. For over a decade, she worked as a massage therapist, providing care and support to clients. During those years, Kate developed a deep understanding of the mind-body connection and witnessed firsthand the power of touch and empathy in fostering healing and wellbeing.

While her work as a massage therapist was rewarding, Kate felt a desire to expand her skills and knowledge to offer a more holistic approach to support clients. This led Kate to pursue a Masters in Gestalt Therapy, which has become the foundation of her practice today.

Gestalt Therapy resonated due to its emphasis on the present moment and the exploration of the individual's thoughts, emotions, and experiences within the context of their whole being. This approach recognizes the interplay between mind, body, and environment and aims to promote self-awareness, personal growth, self-support and improved wellbeing. Highlighting the choices we are making on a daily basis which support or inhibit our full expression of self. By raising our self-awareness of how we are in the world we have more capacity to grow. Kate will explore how you are utilising dialogue, the relationship we create, active experiments with other ways of being, and creativity.

Kate has a particular interest and focus on neurodivergence, relationship issues, and LGBTQIA+ issues.

About working with Kate:
Gestalt Therapy – Gestalt psychotherapy is a form of therapy that focuses on the individual's experience in the present moment, the therapist-client relationship, and the environmental and social contexts of a person's life. It emphasizes personal responsibility and encourages clients to become aware of their immediate thoughts, feelings, and actions to better understand how they relate to their environment. This holistic approach aims to help clients achieve self-awareness and self-acceptance, allowing for personal growth and change utilising dialogue . My journey to specialize in Gestalt psychotherapy was inspired by my own healing journey; I found that Gestalt principles resonated deeply with me and facilitated significant personal growth. Now, I incorporate these principles into my practice to help others find the same sense of self-awareness and healing.
