About Penny

I am currently studying for an advanced Master's level course focusing on research and clinical work at the University of Oxford. I am an accredited full clinical member of the BACP, working in accordance with their ethical guidelines.

About working with Penny:

Psychodynamic Therapy

I offer a warm, safe and non-judgemental space where we can come together to explore your difficulties and challenges, reconnect with emotional experience and work towards a deeper understanding of your inner life.

Our work is collaborative – a meeting of therapist and client – and will unfold at a pace that feels right for you.

We will explore how past and present meet in your emotional life. Together, we will pay attention to how your current feelings may have been shaped by earlier relationships and experiences. We will also be holding the body as a living part of our conversation, acknowledging how it carries its own pain, knowledge and wisdom.

Bringing thinking, feeling and bodily awareness together can open new perspectives, support self-compassion and create conditions for meaningful and lasting change.

I offer an initial free consultation for 30 minutes, which can be conducted in person or online.  In this we can discuss whether this therapy is appropriate for you.

I work with individuals over 18 years old.

Craniosacral Therapy

I also offer Craniosacral Therapy – a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the body’s natural ability to regulate, heal, and restore itself. I am an experienced practitioner who qualified from London’s College of

Craniosacral therapy 15 years ago.

This therapy can help reduce stress, release tension and support underlying balance and energy.

At its core, Craniosacral Therapy focuses on the therapist tuning in to subtle rhythms in the body to support and activate your natural self-healing processes toward health and balance – particularly when stress, trauma or illness may have disrupted this process. The therapy originates from the work of the pioneering osteopathic physician William Garner Sutherland, and is based on the idea that the whole body expands and contracts in a rhythmic or ‘tidal’ way.

What to expect in a session: After a short chat, you will lie fully clothed on a treatment table. A sense of safety, trust and comfort is vital for healing to take place and I will always tell you where I am sensing I want to place my hands, and this will always be lightly on your head and body. After you have settled, I will gently ‘listen in’ with my hands and heart.

Craniosacral Therapy is a complementary therapy and does not replace medical care. If you have health concerns, please consult your GP.
