Are you one of the 70% of midlife women who spend less than five hours a week on their own needs, self-care & hobbies?* If so, our workshop is designed specifically for you! This workshop, presented by Clare Patterson and co-host, Sylvain Richard, will use empowering positive psychology methodology to guide participants towards deeper self-awareness, an improved sense of meaning and purpose and understanding some practical tools and techniques for enhancing wellbeing and effectiveness professionally and in daily life. Using worksheets, participants will be guided to building and developing their own toolkit of self-support materials and leave the workshop feeling an increased sense of clarity and direction in their lives. The day will include a discussion on what positive psychology is and how we can use it to bring more joy, resilience and success into our everyday lives. The approach is practical, with tips and exercises for harnessing the power of positivity and building on our own strengths and talents. We will work from the 'PERMAH' model, which stands for positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, attachment and health. We explore resilience, mindfulness and gratitude as well as SMART goal setting. At the end of the workshop participants will have a deeper sense of purpose, connection and meaning, with practical solutions and further personal development opportunities to take forwards. *source: The Midlife Festival 2023
